If you've been looking for an excuse to get your hands on Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, you're in luck! It's free for the weekend, courtesy of Microsoft.

There's a bit of confusion over this 'free' weekend though.

The Microsoft Store page for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection has been updated to show the game as a 'Free' download, but it isn't detailing that the game is free for a limited time. If you turn your attention to Xbox Support, they detail the game as being free-to-play for the weekend.

It appears as though the poorly marked store page should be detailing that you will only be able to play for the weekend and that the game will not be accessible, unless you purchase it, after the weekend is over. The silver lining here is that the game bundle appears to be discounted.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection contains Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2 and all the add-on content.
