Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel dropping ‘synth-tastic’ tunes this month

Come the end of the month, you'll be sampling the sweet tunes of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel before the game itself releases.
On September 30th, iTunes, Amazon, Sumthing.com and other major music streaming sites will be hit with the The Pre-Sequel's digital soundtrack. The musical score is composed by Jesper Kyd, the very same composer that worked on Borderlands, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep. So, whether or not you know it – you've sampled his work.
When asked to describe his music for Boderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Kyd  replied "There are no traces of real instruments, everything is made with analog synths, drum machines and old gaming consoles. The music is my take on 1980s sci-fi music and electronic music and there's everything from Commodore 64 and Sega Megadrive instruments to massive analog synths and vintage drum machines. It's basically a headtrip through 1980s film-inspired electronic synth scores with my own twist on that genre."
Following the digital release on September 30th (appropriate for an entirely digital soundtrack) there will be a physical 2-disc CD album released on October 14. The first CD will be Kyd's work, the second will be ambient (and combat) music by Des Shore and Justin Mullins.
You can find music samples from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Soundtrack streaming on SoundCloud and the album can be pre-ordered at Sumthing.com.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is set to release on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 14, 2014 in North America and October 17, 2014 internationally.
