Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel: Wilhelm The Enforcer’s action skill revealed

Since the reveal of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel we've known you'll be able to choose between four different characters: Athena the Gladiator, Wilhelm the Enforcer, Nisha the Lawbringer, and Claptrap the Fragtrap. Up until now though, we've only seen footage of Athena in action.

Concluding its week of coverage, IGN today revealed Wilhelm the Enforcer's special active skill. Though The Enforcer is plenty tough on his own, his active ability will let him call in two automated drones — Wolf and Saint. Wolf is more of an assault drone, attacking nearby enemies, while Saint stays closer to Wilhelm, healing him and offering a protective shield.

Putting points into Wilhelm's skill tree will make both drones more powerful. IGN chose to show off only the Hunter-Killer branch which looks to offer upgrades to Wolf. One upgrade shown, called Venom Bolts, will corrode enemies and make them susceptible to other enemies. The branch's final upgrade, Omega Strike, periodically launches a huge missile attack at enemies. I'm assuming one of Wilhelm's other skill branches will offer upgrades to Saint.

2K will be bringing Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel to E3 next month, so hopefully we'll get some hands-on time, or at least a more in-depth look at some of the other classes and abilities.
