Brawlout, the Smash Bros.-like Indie fighter, is coming to the Nintendo Switch

Pixel Art Hero Hyper Light Drifter Joins the Brawl

Brawlout, the indie-game that bears more than a few similarities to Super Smash Bros., from play style to design, is headed to the Nintendo Switch. Developed by Angry Mob Games, Brawlout features over the top, multi level fighting action, but with characters that are more stylized (i.e. cartoonish) than games like Street Fighter and Tekken. Brawlout is currently available on Steam but will be available for PS4, Xbox One and now the Switch, just in time for the Holidays.

As if the idea of a Super Smash Bros. like game on the Switch wasn't awesome enough, Angry Mob Games has added a new playable character to coincide with the console launch, Hyper Light Drifter, the pixelized hero from the game of the same name. Hyper Light Drifter, for those who don't know, was a crowdfunded game, via KickStarter and was considered a hit when it debuted, topping many people's best games of 2016. The trailer below features the pixel-art hero now rendered in full 3D and of course in "fast-paced" action.

We currently don't have an exact release date or a price, but as we get closer, we'll be sure to keep you updated.
