Brilliant factory-builder Satisfactory comes to Steam very soon

Coffee Stain Studios has shared the news that their popular factory builder Satisfactory is soon headed to Steam. The ambitious indie game originally launched one year ago exclusively on Steam’s direct competitor the Epic Games Store. Check out the new trailer which also highlights some of the many improvements and additions to the game!

The creators of the Sanctum duology and hilarious Goat Simulator successfully ventured into the more complex simulation genre with their newest project. Despite early heavy pushback from gamers for accepting an Epic deal – pun intended – Satisfactory became the biggest indie success story on the EGS. Soon, this success could accelerate even further.

While the devs weren’t able to precisely put a date on their game’s Steam release yet of fear of missing that deadline, but it’s happening very soon. Going by previous Epic Games Store exclusives, we expect Satisfactory to come out on or very shortly after March 19. That would match a one-year timed exclusivity period exactly.

Conquer nature by building massive factories across the land. Expand wherever and however you want. The planet is filled with valuable natural resources just waiting to be utilized. As an employee of FICSIT it’s your duty to make sure they come to good use.
Construct your factories with gracious perfection or build intricate webs of conveyor belts to supply all your needs. Automate trucks and trains to reach your faraway outposts and be sure to handle liquids properly by transporting them in pipes. It’s all about minimizing manual labour!
Venture on expeditions to search for new materials and be sure to put everything to good use. Nature is yours to harvest! You have vehicles, jetpacks, jump pads and more at your disposal to make the exploration easier. Equip the proper safety gear as well, just in case you run into the local wildlife.

Together with the nice Steam announcement, Coffee Stain Studios also released a massive blog post detailing the massive third large update to their game. Highlights of this update is a hypertube traversal system and pipe & fluid systems together with pumps. Complementing these are a plethora of industrial chemicals. Furthermore, a range of generators will aid your factory to stay up in the face of every task. There’s a whole lot more Update III includes and we suggest you check out the blog post.
