Buddy System to arrive on Pokemon GO today

Pokemon GO will be implementing Buddy Pokemon from today as part of their latest update.

This new update, which has been labeled version 0.37.0 for Android and 1.7.0 for iOS, is the first of its kind for Pokemon GO. It is the first update that brings something fresh into the game, rather than tweaking current features as we've seen with previous versions.

For those that haven't heard already, the Buddy System in Pokemon GO will allow you to select a Pokemon of your choosing to travel around with you, gaining Pokemon candies along the way.

This should be particularly helpful when it comes to the rarer Pokemon or Pokemon that require a lot of candies in order to evolve – Magikarp springs to mind.

Small fixes have been made to tackle egg animation issues, problems with clicking smaller Pokemon on-screen and some other minor changes have been implemented.
