Bungie hires much-needed Mass Effect: Andromeda writer

Destiny developer Bungie has made a new addition to the team, bringing on former BioWare writer Christopher Schlerf.

Schlerf, who had been working at BioWare Edmonton since 2013, serving primarily as a writer on Mass Effect: Andromeda, announced his departure from the studio on Twitter.

Schlerf had nothing but good things to say about BioWare and the upcoming Mass Effect, promising it will "blow people away."

He then teased…

Schlerf, who was also lead writer on Halo 4, didn't reveal what his exact duties at Bungie will be, but it's almost certain he's working on the recently confirmed Destiny 2, which was delayed from September this year to an unknown date in 2017.

With many of the complaints and criticisms towards Destiny revolving around the story, or lackthere of, it's nice to see Bungie hire on a proven writer. Hopefully he can breathe some life into a bland story and really bring to fruition the promise of a great, expansive universe.
