Bungie planning two more updates before Destiny’s House of Wolves arrives

Destiny's House of Wolves expansion arrives in just a little over a week, but you'll be able to dive into all the adventures that await you in the Reef, Bungie first has two updates planned.

The first, update 1.2.0, will arrive on Tuesday, May 12, "sometime after" 10:00am PST (1:00pm EST). While patch notes are not yet available, Bungie says this update will consist of "final preparation and world changes" for House of Wolves. Technically, the update was released last week, which was the reason you might've been booted from the game, but Bungie has yet to actually activate it. Patch notes will presumably be released when the update actually goes live.

The second, update 1.2.0.1, will arrive on Tuesday, May 19th, "Sometime after" 10:00am PST (1:00pm PST). This includes "final delivery and activation of Expansion II." In other words, this is the update that will make the House of Wolves expansion live. Again, patch notes for this update will probably be released when the update goes live, but Bungie has been previewing all the new content arriving with House of Wolves over the past few weeks.

In case you missed it, there's a huge recap video with all the new content, detailing the new story missions, the three new competitive multiplayer maps, and the new cooperative Strike. There's also The Prison of Elders, the new cooperative end-game arena activity for Guardians to take on, as well as the Trials of Osiris for those of you who prefer PvP.

Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves will be available on Tuesday, May 19th. It is the second of two planned expansions for Destiny, and is included as part of the Destiny Expansion Pass which is priced at $34.99. Alternatively, the expansion can be purchased individually for $19.99. Destiny's first expansion, The Dark Below, released in December of last year.
