Bungie president steps down, Pete Parson appointed as new CEO

Bungie has just announced that former president, Harold Ryans, has stepped down from his position; Ryan served as president since 2000 which was before the launch of the original Halo.
As Bungie and Ryan part ways, long time COO Pete Parsons has now been appointed as the new CEO of Bungie. Here is what Parsons had to say:
I want to personally thank Harold for his friendship, passion, hard work, and dedication in helping make Bungie the great company it is today. As a team, we celebrated many victories and weathered many storms.

To the players of Destiny, I want you to know that my number one priority, and Bungie’s, is and always has been to deliver great games that we can all share together. I believe that Destiny is a one-of-a-kind experience. I also believe you have yet to see our studio’s best work. My new role here at the studio will be entirely focused on fulfilling that promise.
Parsons will now be tasked with shaping the future of Destiny, which includes the recently reported Destiny 2 delay. The report claims that Destiny 2 (which may prove not to have an interative, numbered name) has been shifted from its possible September release, however Bungie did tease plans to share more about a second, "larger game update," that will arrive "sometime after February."
On the bright side, Bungie did reveal a special Valentine's Day-themed event. Starting February 9th, Guardians can participate in Crimson Days, which comes with a new 2v2 Crucible mode called "Crimson Doubles."
