In a recent interview with IGN, Bungie's Community Manager, Eric Osborne, talked a little bit about the game's mechanics such as the use of a ship, microtransactions and the ever-so-requested PC version.
Eric's quote didn't change much from previous interviews, stating that Destiny on PC is "a possibility, but don't expect it any time soon…" That sounds hopeful! While it's sure to disappoint PC fans that wanted the game alongside the launch of the console versions, it seems like Bungie isn't ruling it out.
"It’s a huge challenge to ship four platforms and a massive opportunity to reach a new audience," he said. "We know there are a lot of people out there asking for PC and we know that there are a lot of gamers that would willingly give us money, but what we have to do is make sure we’re focused enough to bring a good experience to any platform that we ship on. What we 100 percent are not going to do is spread ourselves so thin that it negatively harms the other platforms. So right now we have the four platforms, which is a lot to focus on."
I honestly don't know anything about game design, but I can imagine developing a single game for four consoles with the two current gen ones being drastically different to develop on, isn't an easy task.
Either way, don't give up hope PC players, just be patient.
