Bungie suspends Trial of Nine for Two Weeks because of an Emote Glitch

A few days ago Bungie removed a purchasable emote called "Bureaucratic Walk," which was essentially the "silly" walk made famous by John Cleese in the Monty Python sketch Ministry of Silly Walks. No reason for the removal was given by Bungie at the time, but it was believed to be an issue as it allowed players to step out of bounds on several missions. By removing the emote from the game, it prevented future players from buying it, but for players who already owned it, it presented an issue that needed to be remedied as well.

The main issue is that some players were using the emote glitch in the crucible mode, Trials of Nine, to leave the playable area and gain an advantage. As such, Bungie took the Trials of Nine offline for two weeks and plans to re-release it, with a fix, during the first week of November.

Trials of the Nine
As a follow-up to reported incidents of emote glitching in the Crucible, we are investigating a fix that we plan to deploy during the first week of November. In the meantime, the next two instances of Trials of the Nine will be postponed. Please stay tuned for updates. We will provide more information as it becomes available. At this time the next instance of Trials of the Nine is forecasted to resume on November 3, 2017.
Hopefully, once the fix is implemented, the "silly" walk will also return to the game as well.
Destiny 2 releases for the PC next week on October 27 for $59 exclusively on Blizzard Battle.net (i.e. NOT on Steam).
