‘Buxom’ ninja brawler Senran Kagura Burst bouncing onto 3DS

I'm going to take a moment to pick on my fellow writer David Sanchez, who a year ago said about a particular game, "No way this is coming to the 3DS here in North America. No way."

That game is Senran Kagura Burst, and yes, it is coming to North America. Sorry, David. (Or should you be thanking me?!)

Today Xseed Games announced that it's publishing the "buxom" ninja brawler Senran Kagura Burst on the Nintendo 3DS eShop on Thursday, Nov. 14 for $30. It's an action side-scrolling game from developers Tamsoft and MarvelousAQL that's got cool features like two storylines, Japanese voiceovers, 3D effects … and big-breasted ninja girls in bikinis.

That's right — the five female characters of Senran Kagura Burst are students aspiring to become full-fledged shinobi. They reveal their thoughts and feelings in the "Ninja Room" before and after each mission, which coincides with adventure-novel-style story scenes, but who are you kidding: The gradual destruction to their outfits — and the flashing of their bikinis when they're close to being KO'd — is the only "intimate" look you care about.

Whew, boy.
