Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered getting standalone release next week on PS4; Xbox One later

Back when Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was officially revealedhttp://gzdev.wpengine.com/news/sorry-call-of-duty-modern-warfare-remastered-will-not-be-available-for-standalone-purchase-3436613, Activision made it clear that the companion game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, that came paired with the new entry to the series would not be available without Infinite Warfare.

While the former Infinity Ward employee Robert Bowling said otherwise, Activision remained steadfast in that the game would not be available as a standalone purchase. After countless leaks from retailers, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will officially be available as a standalone purchase next week.

PlayStation 4 owners can look forward to playing the game on June 27th, while Xbox One and PC players will have to wait until a later date.
