Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare digital upgrade offer announced

With concerns that the transition from last-gen to current-gen could hamper sales for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Activision has announced a free upgrade promotion.

Through this offer, you can upgrade the digital edition of Advanced Warfare should you originally buy it on a last-gen system and then later decide to upgrade to a newer console. The free upgrade offer is only valid within the same console family (Xbox 360 to Xbox One, or PS3 to PS4), and expires March 31, 2015. In addition to the full digital base game, your season pass and all additional digital content will also transfer for free. On top of that, all of your stats will carry over.

So for those of you planning to upgrade to Xbox One or PS4 later on, but want to get in on the Call of Duty action this November, rest easy knowing you'll be able to upgrade for free (again, the digital version only) up until March 31.
