Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s ‘Recovery’ map has an erupting volcano

Another of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer maps have been revealed, courtesy of IGN. Today, we got our first look at "Recovery," a map that the site describes as "two battlegrounds in one."

According to the description, Recovery starts off as a research station nestled in the mountains of Hawaii. There's hallways, corners, close quarters spaces, and things of that sort.

Midway through the match, the volcano will erupt, filling the map with poisonous gas that force you to evacuate through a safety gate (while still keeping up the fight). "Things get a bit crazy," IGN says of the event which ultimately results in a map that is more open "with longer sight lines."

A video featuring the map with Sledgehammer Games' lead multiplayer designer Greg Residorf can be found through the link above.
