Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s Nuketown 2025 map pulled from playlist

Nuketown 2025, the remake of the popular Nuketown map from the original Black Ops, has reportedly been pulled from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 multiplayer rotation. Nuketown 2025, as it was called in this latest game, was originally offered as a pre-order for Black Ops 2 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

"Double XP weekend is official over," game director David Vonderhaar wrote on Twitter. "That means Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 is as well. I know. RIGHT? Don't kill the messenger."

"Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 will be back for special events," Vonderhaar continued. As it stands now, the only way to play the Nuketown 2025 map is in custom games, until Treyarch decides to bring it back.

When asked if the map will show up in the regular playlists, Vonderhaar responded, "Yea. Probably eventually. We are talking that over internally."

Given that Nuketown 2025 was one of the most highly-anticipated maps, many Black Ops 2 fans are understandably frustrated with Treyarch's decision to remove it from the list.
