With servers stabilizing, Treyarch is looking to expand upon the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta on PlayStation 4. A new update today (arriving at approximately 1:00pm EST) will introduces a new mode, new map, and increase the current beta level cap to 34. Check out all the details below.
New game mode: Uplink
Returning from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Uplink is similar to One Flag CTF (from Black Ops 2). The mode pits two teams against each other as they fight to bring a satellite drone (placed in the middle of the map) to the enemy uplink station.
New map: Stronghold
"A high-tech Swiss chateau in the frozen Alps, featuring an asymmetrical design with a lethal mix of exposed sightlines and tight, close quarters." The release of Stronghold will bring the total number of maps in beta to four (Hunted, Combine, Evac).
Level cap increase to 34
Vonderhaar revealed that only "a bit more than 10%" of the current beta participants have hit the level cap so far, but Treyarch will increase the cap anyway. The new level cap should give players access to the following unlockable items:
