Call of Duty Black Ops 3, LEGO Marvel Avengers top U.K. charts once again

The charts for game sales in the U.K. have been released for last week, and once again Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is at the top. It was number one last week followed by LEGO Marvel Avengers, which also remained at the #2 spot this week.

Three older games just backed into the top 20, with Halo 5: Guardians at 16, Assassin's Creed Chronicles at 19 and ending with WWE 2K16 in the 20 slot. Perhaps most impressive is that GTA V came in at the #4 spot even after releasing two and a half years ago, and just goes to show how much additonal content that Rockstar has been adding to the game.

On the Xbox platforms, Black Ops 3 came in #1 overall on Xbox One and surprisingly #2 on Xbox 360 even though the game does not have a campaign mode. On the 360, LEGO Marvel Avengers took home the #1 spot. Rainbow Six: Siege, FIFA 16, Star Wars Battlefront and LEGO Marvel Avengers rounded out the top five on Xbox One.

PlayStation 4 had nearly similar results with some games swapping spots. Black Ops 3 came in #1 on the console with LEGO Marvel Avengers, Star Wars Battlefront, GTA V and FIFA 16 rounding out the top five. Rainbow Six: Siege dropped on PS4 to the 6th spot. As far as portable systems go, LEGO Marvel Avengers took home the top spot on both 3DS and Vita. The Wii U had the most surprising results with Mario Kart 8 still in the top spot, followed in 2nd by LEGO Marvel Avengers.
