Although the world reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, leaked promotional material from video game retailer GameStop has revealed the important information — release date and beta info — early.
According to the promotional material, which was leaked on NeoGAF, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is scheduled to release on Friday, November 6, 2015.
The date makes sense considering it's early November, but it's odd that it's a Friday instead of a Tuesday, when games are traditionally released in the United States.
Also noticeable on the promotional material is information regarding a beta. According to the image, anyone who pre-orders the game will get access to the beta, which, according to the fine print, will be offered on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. There was no specific mention of Xbox 360 or PS3, but finer print does note "Actual platform availability and launch date(s) to be determined." Earlier this month it was spotted that the Call of Duty website now lets you sign in with your Nintendo account, suggesting that Black Ops 3 could also be headed to the Wii U.
An early November release date is what we figured Black Ops 3 would have, as that's traditionally when the year's new Call of Duty is released.
We should find out this weekend, as Activision and Treyarch will officially unveil Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on April 26.
