There's already been an awakening in Star Wars, but one is soon coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
Activision announced today that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's first DLC pack — Awakening — will hit PlayStation 4 on February 2nd, 2016. It will feature four new multiplayer maps and a new Zombies experience set in a medieval Austrian castle during World War II. Descriptions of each of the maps and the new Zombies experience can be found below:
Der Eisendrache, the first chapter of Black Ops 3's Zombies DLC, will take players on "an epic journey" with the Origin characters Richtofen, Nicolai, Takeo, and Dempsey.
"Set in an eerie medieval castle built upon an ancient site of unspeakable horror, massive deposits of Element 115 have recently been discovered, delivering inspired new gameplay and – in Zombies tradition – a variety of exciting plot twists and surprises that fans will have the opportunity to discover for themselves."
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Awakening will be available via the Black Ops 3 Season Pass, which includes all four of the planned DLC packs at a discounted rate, for a total of $49.99. You can also purchase it individually for $15.
As a reminder, DLC for Black Ops 3 is a timed-exclusive to PlayStation. Activision didn't date the DLC's release for other platforms, but the wait is usually 30 days. Awakening, or any of the other Black Ops 3's season pass content, will not be available on PS3 or Xbox 360.
