Fans eager to learn more about Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's multiplayer should look forward to June, as Activision revealed during last night's earnings call plans to offers hands-on multiplayer at the annual trade show.
While Call of Duty is usually a staple at E3, Activision typically waits until August to talk more about the game's multiplayer. However, one of the benefits of Call of Duty's new three-year development cycle is that Activision is now able to give press hands-on with the game earlier than ever before.
"We're confident that anyone who gets their hands on the game will agree," said Actvision CEO Eric Hirshberg referring to the positive sentiment Black Ops 3 has received thus far.
"Which is why we're going to have hands-on multiplayer at E3," he revealed.
With multiplayer being shown at E3, it's possible August's big reveal could be the revamped Zombies experience, which is said to be "the deepest" ever offered in Call of Duty.
In addition to the multiplayer reveal at E3, Black Ops 3 will also be the first time in a long time that Activision is holding a beta period for a Call of Duty game. Fans who pre-order Black Ops 3 on Xbox One, PS4, or PC will be invited to the beta, which is scheduled to launch ahead of the game's November 6th release.
