Treyarch has announced that the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be getting both modding and mapping tools in 2016.
The new features will let players create their own maps as well as game modes utlilizing unranked game servers. And yes, don't worry, there will be a server browser to allow you to quick search for all the servers running the custom maps and mods you want. A closed alpha will be taking place March 2016r with a beta to follow afterwards.
This should make a lot of PC users happy as it's a feature that many have been requesting for numerous games for a long time now. With Black Ops 3 releasing this Friday November 6th on both Xbox and PlayStation platforms (campaign only on current-gen systems) as well as PC, we're set to see a host of new features and gameplay mechanics introduced to the franchise.
Be on the lookout for our review as it will be up soon as possible come launch day. What will be the first thing you create in the new modes and maps tools as your imagination is the only limit?
