Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has had a relentless marketing campaign. From a big reveal trailer, to a massive multiplayer reveal stream. Now, we have a bombastic single-player demo.
The demo for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War takes us to an airfield in Turkey. The Black Ops team is there to take out a target but they miss their shot. Of course, this results in a an explosive chase. We see a bunch of new gameplay features such as the ability to take body shields and perform special melee moves.
It also looks like that this is one of the game’s “non-linear” missions. Presumably, you can hit the target as well and the mission will play out differently. This is speculation but would line up with the promises Treyarch has made.
If you were missing the insane setpieces that the series is known for, Black Ops Cold War looks to return to that. If there hasn’t been enough Call of Duty news for you, there’s one last thing. PS4 players will be able to play an exclusive multiplayer alpha this weekend.
You can pre-load the alpha on your PS4 on Thursday and play it starting Friday at 10AM PT. The alpha will end on Sunday but no codes are needed to access it. A beta will also take place in October.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will release on November 13th for current-gen, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It will also launch on PlayStation 5 this holiday.
