Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified details coming at Gamescom?

Activision and Sony are finally ready to life the veil on the PS Vita version of Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified. According to MCV, details will be coming at Gamescom next week.

We don't know what they will show off, Activision's European VP and GM of the Santa Monica business unit, Michael Sportouch, promised, "You can really expect us to deliver a true Call of Duty experience."

"We are really excited about the opportunities that the Vita could offer us in terms of connecting with a new audience."

Since its reveal at E3, we've heard little to nothing about Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified. We've since discovered a few gameplay details thanks to product listings around the web. We've last heard that Black Ops: Declassified will play out as a series of Special Ops missions that will explore fiction from the Call of Duty Black Ops universe and deliver an intense experience that is "optimized for gamers on-the-go".

Outside of that, Black Ops: Declassified remains a complete mystery. Even Treyarch, who is developing the console version, Black Ops 2, has been kept out of the loop. They don't even know who is developing the game.

With the Vita struggling to sell units due to a weak lineup it's imperative now, more than ever, that Sony and Activision make a lasting impression with Black Ops: Declassified.
