Call of Duty ‘Days of Summer’ event brings new characters, loot and more for free

There's a lot going on in the Call of Duty world today! First off, Modern Warfare Remastered is officially available as a standalone game and three Call of Duty games have received details on a summer event!

Starting today, you can earn a free Days of Summer Supply Drop each week through August 1 at 10am Pacific by logging into the game by Monday at 11:59PM Pacific on both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Infinite Warfare!

Here's what's in Modern Warfare Remastered:

Days of Summer Supply Drop includes more than 40 Days of Summer items like Weapon Kits, Melee Weapons, Emblems, Camos, Reticles, Calling Cards, and Uniforms. In addition to these items, you can earn a Sun-soaked Graves character if you complete all the Days of Summer Collections in Modern Warfare Remastered.

Prop Hunt is coming back for Days of Summer in a brand-new Beachcomber edition beach-themed props like beach balls, sand castles, surfboards and more

New items aren't the only things featured in the Days of Summer event, the Bog map has been redone, replacing the night and dumpsters with more appropriately themed sand castles, colorful seaside graffiti, a surfboard shop, café, and more. The map will also feature four different Days of Summer weapon camos for you to unlock through challenges. However, you must complete the challenges before August 1 at 10am Pacific.

Here's what's in Infinite Warfare:

Days of Summer will bring new loot including weapons and camos to Infinite Warfare players and a free Supply Drop for logging in every Monday for a free Supply Drop, and every Wednesday and Friday for a free item from the Days of Summer collection,  as well as new Days of Summer items in the Summer Hack each week.

Infinite Warfare will also be getting new characters from across the Call of Duty franchise, including Warfighter Rig as Omar, the Merc as Reyes, Synaptic as ETH.3N, FTL as Salter, Stryker as Price, and Phantom as Ghost.

Between today and August 1 at 10am Pacific the Turista map from the Continuum DLC Map Pack will be free to play.

Here's what's in Black Ops 3:

Starting at 10am PDT on July 11 through August 1 players will get a chance to earn a limited Pack-a-Punch camo, and will also be able to play all four of the maps from the Awakening DLC for free, including the waterpark of doom, Splash.

If you already own the Awakening DLC, you get Double XP throughout the event.
