As Activision struggles to get the Call of Duty ELITE Service up and running properly for console gamers, many PC users are wondering when it will be there turn, or if they will even get a turn.
According to the Call of Duty Elite Twitter page, a few days ago they posted, "We are working towards a universal Elite experience but we cannot guarantee if or when a version will be available for the PC."
It didn't take long for them to backgrack on that statement with a new post that read, "Our goal has always been to provide a free PC offering for Elite. Stay tuned for an update as timing is still being determined."
It loos like they have finally reached a conclusion, at least one a little more specific. The new timeframe for Call of Duty ELITE unfortunately does not include "the near future."
Beachhead Studios announced today, "There won't be a ELITE premium offering for PC in the near future. We're continuing to work towards a free COD ELITE offering."
This is unfortunate news, especially given the PC demand for an ELITE service, but given the troubles they've experienced with console, it's no surprise PC is being delayed indefinitately.
