Call of Duty: Ghosts double XP weekend dated for Xbox One and PS4

Activision and Infinity Ward will usher in the next-generation consoles with a double XP weekend scheduled for November 29 through December 2. During this time, both PS4 and Xbox One users will have the opportunity to earn twice the experience in multiplayer.

"Looking ahead at the coming weeks, the release of next-generation consoles brings amazing new ways to experience Call of Duty: Ghosts. For the players who are waiting to play on next-gen, we're giving you a chance to shine with a next-gen exclusive Double XP Weekend! From Friday, November 29th (10am/PST) through Monday, December 2nd (10am/PST), players on both next-gen consoles will be able to earn Double XP on all of their Multiplayer and Squads play."

Call of Duty: Ghosts will be available at the release of both the PS4 and Xbox One on their respective launch dates. PS4 is set to hit store shelves this Friday, November 15 in North America, with the Xbox One due out a week later on November 22.

For those who already own Ghosts on current-gen systems, this will represent another opportunity to earn double XP. Remember, all of the experience, progress, and content you've already unlocked on the PS3 or Xbox 360 will carry over if you are upgrade to the next-gen equivalent (Xbox 360 to Xbox One or PS3 to PS4).
