Call of Duty: Ghosts practically unmasked

I think it's safe to assume at this point that Activision's next game announcement will be Call of Duty: Ghosts. The mosaic hosted on the official Call of Duty website — in which fans could add their picture to — is nearly complete, revealing what we expected all along: the iconic ghost mask, a skull-patterned balaclava worn by Simon "Ghost" Riley in Modern Warfare 2.

According to NeoGAF users who scoured the site's source ghost, the ghost mask as it appears currently isn't the final image. Rather, the final image (below) is a lot more white-washed, although you still get the same Ghost feel.

Activision hasn't officially confirmed Call of Duty: Ghosts as the official title, but given the rumors, leaks, and suspicious number of letters in the teaser site's URL. There are six underscores which just so happens to be the number of letters in the word "Ghosts." Coincidence? I think not.

The latest Call of Duty game is expected to be announced some time in May, as early as May 1st according to some reports.
