Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 spotted on Xbox One via backward compatibility again

Before the Summer began, rumors began circling that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would be heading to the Xbox One via backward compatibility. Some Xbox One users even reported spotting the game on the Xbox Store under the backward compatibility section.

Much to the excitement of Modern War lovers, Modern War 2 has been spotted on the Xbox One once again. Italian website Game Experience (via EGM) has reportedly come across the game through the Xbox One's GameDVR and Upload Studio.

Unfortunately, the game clips are not solid proof that the game is heading to the Xbox One via backward compatibility – as we don't know exactly how these clips came to be. However, what is interesting is that the clips appear to be linked to an official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 page.

The first installment in the Modern Warfare has been officially announced for the Xbox One, as a remaster paired with the upcoming game Infinite Warfare.
