Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 boots Mass Effect 3 out of Xbox One backwards compatibility vote’s top 10

Black Ops 2 remains at the top.

Over a week later, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is still in the lead in the backwards compatibility polls. Initially Red Dead Redemption held the top spot for a couple of weeks, only to be overtaken by Black Ops 2 at some point last week.

The numbers were pretty close, but it seems like the game between the two is only getting wider. Most of the games have held their position firmly, only accruing more votes to keep them in the same spot. There is one difference though — Mass Effect 3 has been booted from the top 10.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has replaced Mass Effect 3 in the running for backwards compatibility on the Xbox One. As this is a vote to see which games Microsoft should push towards being available on the Xbox One through the new backwards compatibility feature, your vote matters.

Here are the current top 10 games in the backwards compatibility polls:

  1. Call of Duty: Black Ops II 77,267 votes

  2. Red Dead Redemption 75,274 votes

  3. Skyrim 70,315 votes

  4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 62.600 votes

  5. Halo: Reach 61,458 votes

  6. Call of Duty: Black Ops 53,587 votes

  7. Gears of War 3 50,500 votes

  8. Fallout 3 48,787 votes

  9. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 45,916 votes

  10. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 40,206 votes
