Call of Duty: Modern Warfare gets new story trailer

After a generation of futuristic and sci-fi Call of Duty games, we’re back in the thick of it with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Infinity Ward is bringing us back to a grounded, modern story and while we’ve seen and heard snippets of the tone of the game, no one really knows what the plot of the game is.

Well, now we know! With just one month before launch, Infinity Ward has dropped a meaty story trailer showing the iconic Captain Price leading a mission to find and secure stolen chemical weapons. The lines between right and wrong will be blurred, morals will be tested, and players will find themselves in plenty of tense and uncomfortable situations.

You can check out the new trailer below.

At the end of the trailer, we get a tease of the new Spec Ops Survival mode. This looks to be some wave-based mode and not the actual co-op Spec Op missions. Unfortunately, the Survival mode will be exclusive to PS4 players until October 2020 so Xbox and PC players will miss out on this mode for a year.

We got to see two of the game’s campaign missions at E3 this past summer and while we have some concerns, it still looks to be a very promising campaign.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will release on October 25th, 2019.
