Call of Duty’s Xbox timed-exclusivity ends in September with Advanced Warfare’s Reckoning

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's final DLC arrives on PlayStation and PC next month

On September 3rd, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Reckoning, the fourth and final DLC pack for the game, will release on PS4, PS3, and PC, marking the end of a five year Xbox timed-exclusivity deal between Activision and Microsoft.

Reckoning released earlier this month on Xbox platforms, bringing four new maps, the return of the Exo Grapple playlist, and the conclusion to Exo Zombies. Descent, the ending of hte Exo Zombies saga, introduces a remote ocean Atlas survival facility, new "fused" Exo Zombie enemies, and the Trident Reflected Energy Weapon.

Looking ahead, a new partnership between Activision and Sony means timed-exclusivity for PlayStation. The partnership begins with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (out this November) where PS4 owners will be the first to play the upcoming multiplayer beta. Beta starts for PS4 on Wednesday, August 19th — a week before it arrives on Xbox One and PC. You can find all the details regarding Black Ops 3's multiplayer beta here.
