Call of Duty trains terrorists, says The Sun

UK publication The Sun is constantly looking for different aspects of the video game industry to attack and vilify. This time, it has its sights set on Call of Duty, Activision's brand of military shooters, and one of the most popular franchises currently on the market. Oh, Sun, you're so predictable.

According to the BS hose that is The Sun, terrorists are using games such as Call of Duty and Medal of Honor to train for their attacks on innocents. "They are logging into group games over the internet and discussing terror plots," reported some dumbass who calls himself a source of The Sun's. "Security people know about it. There has even been evidence would-be jihadists treat war games as training tools, a bit like a pilot might use a flight simulator."

In other words, if wannabe terrorists get their hands on a copy of Modern Warfare 3 and a copy of Microsoft Flight, we're all pretty much screwed. What's even worse is that The Sun reports that games like Modern Warfare 3 that support online multiplayer allow terrorists to chat online and mastermind their evil plans! Nooooooo!

I've been trying to find a way to convince people that Call of Duty is a crappy video game series. Obviously, this is not the way. If anything, this makes me want to tell you all to play the heck out of Modern Warfare 3 just to stick it to The Sun. And that makes me feel really dirty–not in the good way, either.
