Call of Duty Warzone Season 6 brings a literal underground hype train

Choo-Choo I kill you

Call of Duty Warzone Season 6 is going live today and it brings tons of new additions to the addictive battle royale extravaganza. Check out the launch trailer for it below!

Most eyes from the gaming community when it comes to Call of Duty are pointed towards the first next-gen entry Black Ops Cold War, but that doesn’t mean that the sensational Free-to-Play spin-off Warzone isn’t getting any love.

Season Six is here for players of the battle royale shooter and with it comes a plethora of new content and even gameplay mechanics. The big highlight of the new season is the introduction of a subway system. This underground maze of rail systems not only serves as a thrilling scene for frantic close-quarters shootouts but it also functions as a working fast-travel system across the playground of Warzone.

Get around the Warzone in a flash with the recently opened subway system, known as the “Metro” in-game. This dynamic fast travel system combines existing points of interest with new transportation stations for a high risk, high reward movement option within Verdansk.

Such a big introduction will no doubt shuffle combat hotspots for the foreseeable future and force players to adapt and mix up strategies. The smart decision of the developers to stop the train in its tracks once firefights break out inside it has our minds going to wild places.

Imagine a combat scenario where two teams are barely making it into the subway just to jointly settle on a temporary cease-fire until the next stop.

There’s more Warzone goodness with the new season though as an entirely new game mode gets introduced with Armored Royale. This mode adds a gasoline-induced punch to the battle royale experience by giving each squad a heavily armored and truck all with turrets. Keep your truck intact and you’ll be able to respawn right back into action.
