Canabalt leaps from building, lands on PSN

Canabalt has gone on to become quite the little phenomenon. The game has sparked interest in both hardcore gamers and the casual crowd. If you've never played it, then all you need to know is that it's basically a runner game, except you're running away from disaster. Disaster!

Canabalt has a stylish look, and the soundtrack is made by the awesome Danny Baranowsky. This is one of those addictive little time sinks that you can play for either a few minutes or really get into and spend bigger chunks of time with.

Now it's headed to the PlayStation Network. An exact date has yet to be revealed, but according to Destructoid, we can probably expect Canabalt in just a couple of weeks. Meanwhile those lucky punks in Europe can already play it.

You can enjoy the game for free on the its official site. Or you can be a nice person and give the developer some much-deserved cash and download Canabalt on the iTunes Store. It's only $2.99, and it's well worth the price of admission.

I'll be watching out for the PlayStation Network release. I dig the free version, but I like supporting indie devs, and admittedly, I prefer a traditional controller over directional buttons on a keyboard any day.
