Candy Crush Saga is only a year old, but it's reached some impressive milestones in that short span. King's popular match-3 game has been downloaded more than 500 million times, the developer announced.
That stat alone is delicious, but King also estimates that players have enjoyed more than 150 billion games of Candy Crush so far.
One in 23 Facebook users are a fan of the game, and on fellow social media site Twitter, 14.5 million tweets β enough to fill 4,500 novels β about Candy Crush have been sent out into the world.
βThe incredible milestone of more than half a billion downloads of the game, as well as the continued enthusiasm from our community, really delights the entire King team," said Tommy Palm, the games guru at King. "Fans can look forward to even more exciting new Candy Crush Saga content over the coming months, including an exciting new twist to the game.β
Candy Crush Saga first launched on Facebook in April 2012 and then migrated to iOS and Android.
