Capcom adjusts its forecast as Resident Evil 6 shipments hit new low

Capcom has revised its forecast once more as the big-name release Resident Evil 6 continues to suffer and sleeper hit Dragon's Dogma sees more growth.

The publisher originally expected Resident Evil 6 to ship 7 million copies by March 31. It since changed that number to 6 million in October, and now the figure is down to 5 million as part of Capcom's nine-month earnings period that ended December 31, 2012, according to Siliconera.

Dragon's Dogma is still kicking, though, with an additional 100,000 copies sold since October. Worldwide shipments are up to 1.3 million for the game that released in May 2012.
