After many months of begging, Nintendo's handheld/home console hybrid will finally be getting some Mega Man love. Capcom revealed on the Mega Man 30th anniversary live stream that they'll be releasing the long-awaited Mega Man 11 on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and PC at the end of 2018.
The game still stays true to the 2D sidescroller style but has an updated look. It looks a bit like Inafune's Mega Man spiritual successor, Mighty No. 9, but better. It was noted on the Capcom stream that the backgrounds are all hand painted, making each level look absolutely beautiful.
The developers spoke about the game on stream and said that they felt that Mega Man needed to be "truly resurrected". Furthermore, Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, so you can catch up on the entire series before Mega Man 11!
The game will release nearly a decade after the last new Mega Man game so we can only hope that it lives up to the hype. You can view the trailer below.
