Level-5, perhaps most well-known for the Dark Cloud series, White Knight Chronicles, Dragon Quest VIII, Rogue Galaxy, Jeanne d’Arc, and the Professor Layton franchise, and Capcom, best known for Side Arms Hyper Dyne for the Amiga, have announced some sort of nebulous partnership.
“This rumor is true,” Capcom’s Keiji Inafune confirms. “Right now, the two of us, with our staff, are working together on some truly interesting things. Even though Mr. Hino is younger, he’s someone I respect. I wanted to try working with him, so I contacted him.”
“Mr. Hino” refers to Akihiro Hino, Level-5’s founder, president, and CEO.
No solid plans or details about the project are available at this time, but you can read all about these two grown men’s love and adoration for each other (and especially each others’ sales numbers), if you’d like. I will not judge you if you do something else instead.
