Capcom has filed a trademark for what may turn out to be a video game called Comuken. As of right now, there’s no indicators if it’s for a video game. Instead, it’s for “computer software for use in social networking, namely, for use in providing online communications among users and for creating customized on-line web pages featuring user-defined information and personal profiles,” according to the filing.
In a nutshell, social networking. It sounds like Capcom may be considering an online community of some sort. Whether it’s for their console games, or meant to be a computer experience isn’t made clear by the filing. “Computer games” could mean anything from some Facebook game by Capcom to a full online community within their games on Xbox LIVE and PSN. Maybe it’s related to Mega Man Universe? Chances are that whatever it is, we will see it sometime this week.
