Toad has been in plenty of games, but he hasn't been the star of a game – that is, until now!
Nintendo revealed the Toad centered, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, at E3 this year. The game follows Captain Toad on his journey to take back Toadette and a Power Star from the clutches of a giant evil bird. Toad will battle bosses and traverse over 70 stages to get to Toadette and the Power Star.
From haunted house to island life to a pinball machine, each stage is a maze-like mini-verse with its own style. Stages can be rotated and altered with the use of the Wii U GamePad to help you find Toad hidden treasure and help him beat the level. Toad will have plenty of enemies to get past before he reaches Toadette though. Each level will have either Shy Guys, Flaptor's, Piranha Sprouts, Boos and so many more familiar enemies. Toad may not be able to jump, but he won't be totally helpless though – he can throw turnips, clone himself and use a super pickaxe to get to success.
So, that gives you the basics of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker — essentially everything you'll find in the video above!
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is due on the Wii U December 5.
