Update: According to a report from Variety, Carrie Fisher was moved from the emergency room into the intensive care unit and that reports of her stable condition which were initially posted by The Hollywood Reporter was just the outlet "writing between the lines." As of now, it's impossible to say what condition the actress is in, and at the expense of misinformation, we will only update this article once we have an official statement. Original story below.

As if we weren't already over 2016, it seems this year has one last terrible act to commit. Carrie Fisher, most known for her portrayal of Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise; the face of hope for so many people, has suffered a heart attack whilst on a flight to LAX during her press tour for her autobiography.

The incident supposedly occured 15 minutes before the flight touched down, and she was briskly taken to a medical center at UCLA where she was reportedly on life support and in critical condition. However, her brother has reported that she is in a stable condition and out of the emergency room. We will update this story as we receive new information.
