Cartoon Network is resurrecting one of its most epic shows!

Today, Cartoon Network gave us all some early holiday cheer by dropping the first teaser trailer for the triumphant return of cult hit animated series, Samurai Jack! (Check it out above)

Series showrunner, Genndy Tartakovsky, is slated to return along with original voice actor, Phil Lamarr, as the time-traveling samurai warrior, Jack. There is still no word as to who will take over as the shape-shifting master of darkness, Aku, due to the unfortunate passing of voice actor, Mako, in 2006.

Samurai Jack centered on a mysterious samurai warrior raised from childhood to prevent the onslaught of a powerful demon named Aku. Having been thrown hundreds of years into the future, he finds the demon's reign has consumed a world now occupied by strange aliens and oddities. The critically acclaimed series won four Emmys throughout its run on Cartoon Network from 2001 to 2006.

Samurai Jack: Season 5 premieres on Adult Swim, Summer 2016
