The once long road for Jon Shafer’s At the Gates Kickstarter is coming to an end. With only six days left, it comes down to that time where you need to reflect upon the many updates and how far its come since the beginning. Most importantly, with only six days left, you are running out of time to help the project and get those sweet sweet rewards!
Yeah, the project has been funded; I’d even go as far to say the project has reached its goal two times over. What this means is that At the Gates is receiving extra features since the team has the money to make your experience better. The stretch goals which have been met so far are:
- XML Mod Support
- Full Map Editor
- DLL Mod Support
- The stretch goals that are still within grasp include:
- Two New Playable Factions
- New Map Options
- Make the Romans Playable
Other updates you make have missed include At the Gates coming out for more than just Windows. The game will be getting full Mac, Linux, and iOS integration. There will even be a boxed version coming out for Windows.
On top of all these features, Jon Shafer has written up long blog updates explaining some of the features found in At the Gates. These articles include:
- Design of At the Gates compared to Civilization 5.
- Seasons
- Combat and supply system
- Sneak peak at design documents
The clocks ticking away for this Kickstarter project, the time for being on the fence is over. If 4x empire builders are your pleasure, check out this project. If you need a refresher on what At the Gates is all about, check out GameZone’s interview with Jon Shafer.
