CD Projekt RED: ‘No plans to bring The Witcher 1 or 2 to PS3’

With The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt coming to PS4, it'll be the first time CD Projekt RED's popular RPG will appear on a PlayStation console. Because of that, there was some hope among PlayStation gamers that the two prior titles in the series would eventually make their way to PS3. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case as CD Projekt RED, in a Q&A on Raptr, confirmed they will not be bringing The Witcher 1 or 2 to PS3.

"No such plans for now," the company wrote. "Sorry."

So while there's a possibility we might see a port eventually on the more developer-friendly PS4, it seems PlayStation fans anxious to play the first two will have to do so on PC or Xbox.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be the third and final installment in the trilogy, though I'm a bit skeptical that CD Projekt RED will stop here if it's wildly successful.
