CES 2013: EA Sports and Monster team up for MVP Carbon headset

At this point I’d like to think EA knows what they’re doing when it comes to partnering for sweet hardware. This time seems no different. With an alliance with Monster, these two companies will create the “first-ever ultimate gaming and music headphone.”

The EA Sports MVP Carbon by Monster headphone is said to bring an unprecedented level of immersive sonic gameplay like the game develops always intended.  These headphones will be able to be used for gaming as well as movies and music.  The only thing as important as audio quality is comfort on these bad boys.  There will also be a black and white version of the MVP Carbon.

Founder and Head Monster Noel Lee noted:

“Anyone who spends a lot of time involved in the intense world of gaming knows that a truly great pair of headphones can make all the difference, both in terms of performance and sheer fun. To develop this unique premium product, Monster could not have a better partner than EA SPORTS. Their insight and expertise into exactly what features and capabilities will benefit gamers most was invaluable in the development process. The result is a new type of headphone that not only provides a much more intense listening experience for gaming – but delivers even more surround sound impact for music and movies as well. Let the games begin!”

You can expect his headset on shelves starting February 2013.  Your wallet will take the hit of $269.95 for this ‘first of a kind’ hardware.  GameStop lists the MVP Carbon for $229.99.
