Dean Devlin, producer of the Independence Day sequel, has uploaded a photo of himself with Jeff Goldblum, rejoicing over the fact that his dream of a sequel to Independence Day is finally coming true.
"Hanging with David Levinson (Jeff Goldblum) 20 years later was is a dream come true!" Devlin wrote. David Levinson, in case you forgot, was the programmer in Independence Day that helped take down the aliens.
Jeff Goldblum is going to save the world, again, with his ability to hack into alien computers and upload viruses. This time he won't be needing the help of Will Smith, who isn't even a part of the Independence Day sequel. Likely, Liam Hemsworth will be helping him save the U.S. President (Sela Ward) and the world.
The Independence Day sequel is set to release next year on June 24th and will see the return of Vivica A. Fox, Bill Pullman and Brent Spiner. Don't ask me how Brent Spiner is making a comeback since, spoiler, HE DIED IN THE ORIGINAL.
