Check out some Mass Effect: Andromeda screenshots from the E3 2015 reveal

Electronic Arts and BioWare revealed the next game in the Mass Effect series during Day Zero at E3 2015. The game is not a sequel, nor is it a prequel; it will stand on its own separate from Commander Shepard and his venture.

The Mass Effect: Andromeda reveal trailer did not feature so much as one second of gameplay, it was an entirely cinematic experience. That doesn't mean that the trailer isn't worth looking at or taking screenshots of and pouring over every detail.

EA and BioWare have taken time out of their busy schedules to reveal some gorgeous screenshots of the trailer we had a glimpse of. The screenshots allow us to see some details that we might have missed and piece together our thoughts on what is to come.

Check out the reveal trailer above and the screen shout tour below.

The screenshots start out with our main character inspecting a planet, perhaps for colonization as leaks on the story suggest. The protagonist then leaves the ship, armed and ready, to explore the planet. It seems as though they encounter aggressive enemies, as their Omni-blade is drawn.

All of the screenshots appear to take place on the same planet, with the exception of one — the last image.
