Check out the Borderlands 3 Launch Trailer and Opening Cinematic

It's on very soon

Gearbox has released the launch trailer for their highly-anticipated shooter-looter Borderlands 3. The open-world RPG-FPS is launching on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia on September 13. Watch the trailer below!

There’s no question that Borderlands 3 will become one of the biggest titles released this year. Unlike many other popular franchises, fans of the quirky shooter-looter had to wait an insane seven years to finally get a proper sequel. A rather surprising turn of events since Borderlands 2 itself was wildly successful.

Developer Gearbox has lost quite a bit of its charm due to historical flops like Duke Nukem Forever and Alien Colonial Marines, but the sheer brand-value of Borderlands among gamers is simply still too high for it to realistically affect BL3’s success. Especially on the PC front, Gearbox became the source of dismay among those who passionately despise the Epic Games Store and its tactics of securing timed-exclusives. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford announced that they made such a deal very close after Borderlands 3 was officially unveiled. The truth however is, despite a very vocal minority claiming to boycott BL3 on PC, it’s very likely that the game will still sell lots of copies. Fans have simply waited too long to be affected by the Epic deal.

The original shooter-looter returns, packing bazillions of guns and an all-new mayhem-fueled adventure. Blast your way through new worlds and enemies as one of four brand new Vault Hunters, each with deep skill trees, abilities, and customization. Play solo or join with friends to take on insane enemies, collect loads of loot and save your home from the most ruthless cult leaders in the galaxy.

It’ll be interesting to see how Borderlands 3 will turn out as a proper Games-as-a-Service title, as the prior games already had very similar design elements in them, making them sort of a pioneer for the now-popular genre. Thankfully, we already know that there won’t be any Pay-to-Win nonsense.

We won’t have to wait much longer thankfully to learn out since the game’s release is imminent, on September 13. in the meantime, you can increase your excitement even more by watching the Opening Cinematic.
