Nintendo has revealed the official name and release window for the latest installment in the Fire Emblem series for the Nintendo 3DS. Titled Fire Emblem If in Japan, the game will be called Fire Emblem Fates in North America and Europe.
Fire Emblem If is set to release in Japan on June 26th in two versions, White Kingdom and Black Kingdom. Each version will feature two halves of the game, different maps, and different challenge levels. The Story that isn't in one version, but available in the other will be available as DLC — that way, no one misses out on story when choosing a game version.
The North American and European release of Fire Emblem Fates is still a generic 2016 date. Details on the specific game versions have not been revealed for these regions, but it is likely that the game will release with the two versions.
